The Sisters of Versailles is certainly the largest and most influential in the new wave bands of the eighties, it is considered the leader of the Gothic rock movement and has influenced thousands of bands all over the world, a rank below Cieur and Smiths and Depeche Mode, and second above all else is the black and smoky knighthood of Britain with its three eternal albums Singles that made the world a darker place.
The first and last and always debut album from 1985 introduced Sisters to the world and contained 10 gloomy songs and mostly dancers, with the deep and deep voice of vocalist Andrew Aldridge, who used to go on stage in black clothes, sunglasses and cowboy hats, album songs and especially Walk Away, Marian, Black Planet and the theme song became a huge hit at every new wave club that honored itself and in Israel the madness of the Sitters occupied the Tel Aviv clubs of the period: the penguin, the Dan and the Liquid.

In 1987, the second album, “Floodland”, was released. The album, “The Corrosion” and “Lucretia My Reflection,” was released. The album continued the huge success of its predecessor,

The Vision Thing album, released in 1990, was a powerful wink to the American market and included a few touches of hard rock and a slightly less theatrical and darker approach.
In 1992, the Sisters of Mercy collaborated with Ofra Haza in Temple of Love, which won a huge success and took the world charts.
