The lounge is a space For young creators and entrepreneurs, operating within MZA 9 and aiming to provide spice and tools to every young person in the city who promote the society, culture and community in Tel Aviv-Jaffa. The lounge gives space to work in, access to conference rooms and meetings, connections between the various participants, content for creators and entrepreneurs and more.
Get to know the creators and entrepreneurs working in the lounge today and hear how you can take part in it!
At the center of the event we will host Nissan Almog – an urban planner, urbanist and multidisciplinary artist who specializes in urban dynamics process research, for his fascinating lecture:
*** A Brief History of Tel Aviv ***
Dive into one of the greatest Israeli inventions: the city of Tel Aviv or the “Tel Aviv”. Through urban theories and examples from the field, a thread has been drawn from the days of the city’s establishment in the 1920s to the trends that are shaping the city today towards 2020.
– What happens today to Tel Aviv we knew and can we predict processes that will occur in the coming decades?
– What is the connection between the city’s image in commercials, films and TV shows for urban planning and its actual processes?
– How did the Florentine series affect gentrification processes, how did Casablanca change Jaffa and what legacy did the Eurovision left in town?
We will create new and illogical connections between Meir Dizengoff and Shimon Shirazi, between Nathan Alterman and Neta Barzilai, between Daphne and Gindi and more.
