The Last Beetle
A one-time collaboration of the artist Itamar Tal and the Volkswagen company at a special exhibition at the Tel Aviv Museum less than a thousand.

The artist Itamar Tal was exposed to the fascinating and extinct world of the bees about two years ago, fell in love with them and decided that all his artistic work would deal only with them.
Tal does everything in his power to produce the buzz for the bees whose voice is not heard but our lives, although many of us do not recognize it, depend on them.

A new installation exhibition at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art will reveal his new series of paintings dealing with bees and beetles, in which the word bee is buried, and both the bee and the beetle are an extinct species that, with the help of art, does everything to save them. But the Beetle goes through Itamar’s reincarnation and in his work he combines the iconic car of the German Volkswagen company Beetle on a geometric background made of hexagons inspired by the beehive.

In the exhibition that will be displayed at the gallery will be incorporated a real car courtesy of Volkswagen, this is the latest and newest vehicle model of the beetle that the company will ever produce. In this way, the exhibition marks the history of the Volkswagen car manufacturer, which, like the bee, is becoming extinct from the world.

The opening event will take place on October 19, 2018, between 11: 15-15: 00 at the gallery less than a thousand at the Tel Aviv Port. The members of the official Israeli Beetle Club will also take part in the opening, bringing with them the collection cars that are becoming more rare today than ever.
