Sun 28 July 2019 | 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Mike's Place Tayelet - Herbert Samuel 90, Tel Aviv,

Join Dov Hammer (IL) and Jason Rosenblatt (CAN) for a relaxed and fun evening of everything harmonica. This workshop co-hosted by these veterans of this powerful, yet diminutive, instrument, is for beginners to advanced diatonic players. We will cover a variety of styles from Blues and Country to Jazz and Jewish. Dov and Jason are both proud endorsers of SEYDEL harmonicas

Composer, producer, pianist and harmonica player Jason Rosenblatt is one of the world’s foremost innovators in diatonic harmonica technique. His performance on the unassuming instrument has helped to open new musical ground for the instrument long associated with “the blues,” into art forms as diverse as jazz, bluegrass, Klezmer and Turkish music. Since 2002 he and his group Shtreiml, for which he serves as musical director, have performed internationally at notable festivals and venues in Canada, the U.S. and Europe

Dov Hammer is one of Israel’s leading Blues artists.
Originally from the USA, he has been playing the harmonica, singing and writing songs for over 25 years, and has played in clubs, concert halls and festivals throughout the USA, Israel and Europe. Besides having released 9 albums of original music,
Hammer has also played with great American Blues artists such as Joe Louis Walker, Lucky Peterson, Jimmy Johnson, Deitra Farr and Zora Young, and opened for Johnny Winter.
His harmonica playing has been featured on recordings of many top Israeli pop and rock artists, as well as in TV commercials and film soundtracks. Dov Hammer’s album “BlueSoul” has just been released…
