The Independence House Museum and the Bina – the Movement for Social Judaism are pleased to present:

“Talking about Independence” – a series of monthly meetings on the subject of the Declaration of Independence and its values ​​in Israeli culture and society today.

In order to involve all the citizens of the country wherever they may be and to grant everyone the right to investigate, respond and learn about the Megillah, the events will be open to the general public free of charge,

Each month, a sentence will be chosen from the scroll and examined as “vision to reality.”
Each evening will consist of a panel of speakers, public opinion leaders from all walks of life, journalists, writers, directors, academics, military personnel, radio and television personalities, social activists and entrepreneurs.
Each evening will be divided into 3 parts:
* A personal opinion column of panel speakers
* A dialog is guided on the theme of the evening
* In an open stage, the audience in the hall, ask and respond to things.

Among other things, we will deal with the Israeli constitution, the relevance of Zionism in Israel of 2018, the Law of Human Dignity and Liberty, what is Jewish identity in today’s Israel, what connection is there between Israel and the Middle East, and many more.

There are many partners each month. An organization, museum or other educational center will join the research, including: Yad Vashem: World Holocaust Center, Jerusalem
The Israel Democracy Institute, Herzl Center, Tel Aviv-Jaffa Municipality, Weizmann House, East-Zedek, Ben-Gurion House Yitzhak Rabin Center, Begin Center | The Menachem Begin Heritage Center

At the end of the year, an elegant collection of all opinion articles will be distributed, according to the month and the trial in which we were dealing, to deepen the discourse and to create the first research of its kind on the Declaration of Independence,
