Stanley Clark, the esteemed jazz artist, arrives in Israel together with his band, which includes five wonderful musicians for one performance at 1.7 in Tel Aviv.

Behind Clark about 40 albums and winning the Grammy Award about 4 times! He was nicknamed “a living legend”. He began his career in the 1970s with the jazz-fusion group Return To Forever, and performed with them and Chuck Corea in Israel in 2011.

During his 45 years of career he has collaborated with many artists such as: Quincy Jones, Stan Getz, Art Blakey, Paul McCartney, Jeff Beck, Keith Richards, Arta Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Cheka Khan, Herbie Hancock and more. Clark was the first Jazz-fusion bassist ever to make headlines, and sold shows around the world. Known for his intense skill and perfect music, he is considered a true pioneer in jazz and fusion.
His creativity has been recognized and rewarded in every conceivable way: Gold and platinum albums, Grammy Awards, Emmy Nominations, BMI, Rolling Stone as the man of the year in jazz, won the Bassboy Music Award for 10 consecutive years, Lifetime magazine awarded him This year’s guitarist award, in 2004 was announced in the Los Angeles Journal as one of the 50 most influential people, won the prestigious award.
Miles Davis at the Montreal Jazz Festival and many other awards and honors that have strengthened his status as one of the most important and interesting musicians working today. Clarke feels a duty to help and support young musicians and 13 years ago he and his wife Sophia established the Stanley Clark Foundation as a charitable organization offering scholarships to talented young musicians every year.
