Come and Join us for a very Spanish movie night!

A great Spanish movie is waiting for you with an Introduction lecture of Joaquín López Toscano – a cinema specialist about the contemporary Spanish film.

The lecture will followed by the screening of two short movies by young Spanish directors:

1. Mater Salvatoris. Dir. Marc Barceló
The Pyrenees , the years after the civil war and the death are the protagonist of this short film. And a ten years old boy: Miquel. Playing in the wood he kills a rabbit and discovers guilt.

2. Víctor. Dir. Ian Garrido
Victor likes to experiment with his gender. He doesn’t know if he fells like a boy or a girl. Once in the town, protected by anonymity, he discovers himself. But secrets do not last forever.

… And the main movie: Azul Oscuro Casi Negro (Deep Blue Almost Black).

Dir. Daniel Sánchez Arévalo. After his father has a stroke, Jorge is forced to take over his job. He has spent the last few years working hard, caring for his father and finishing college, but now he wants to strike out on his own. Through his brother Antonio, he meets Paula, a woman with whom he develops an unusual relationship. Through her, Jorge learns to stop feeling responsible for everything and finally confront his own wishes, ignoring what the world expects of him. As a result everything should change for Jorge… but it may not.
