On 7th September English rock band Slowdive will be performing for the first time in Israel.

The band was formed in Reading, England at the end of 1989, with Nick Chaplin (bass), Rachel Goswell (guitar and vocals), Neil Halstad (guitar, vocals), Christian Saville and Adrian Sal (drums) Current Simon Scott.

Their first album was released in 1991, in Allen McGee’s Leading Recording, and already contained the band’s unique DNA – a sound that developed significantly for the Souvlaki masterpiece, released two years later in 1993. Suplaki, produced together with Brian Eno , Made the sound of the band a new one, blending the influences from their local scene, such as MY BLOODY VALENTINE and RIDE, with their natural tendency to dreamy harmonies, and placed the album as one of the most important rock albums ever made.
