We’re back! With the return of the Slam Season, our Slam Writer’s Nights are coming back as well. We at The Stage – Slam Series want to help you gain confidence and experience in order to encourage new voices in our poetry community, and we can’t wait to start this new season with you!
The night will be a friendly environment where we talk about poetry and performance, the art of the well-done slam, and how to practice your piece. If you have always wanted to learn how to write a slam poem or perform one, this is where you should start! Alternatively, if you have performed before but want some advice, feedback, or a smaller audience to try out your new work on, we’re also here to help. All levels of experience and inexperience are welcome to come.
If you have a piece to bring, you are more than encouraged to do so. The meet-up will be in English, as will the poetry discussed (due to the fact that The Slam Series is an English organization)
Free attendance (though please buy a drink, since we will be sitting at a lovely bar) and free advice, lots of fun, and hopefully the confidence you’ll need to share your art with the public!
Looking forward to meeting new faces and seeing old friends! We’ll be hanging out from 20:00 until around 21:30.
