Thu 6 June 2019 | 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Polly - Rothschild Boulevard 60, Tel Aviv,

On Thursday, June 6, we will host Shai Amit as part of the “think & drink different” meetings at the Poli-Bar for a lecture on the sensitive person in modern society.

He will not just be a child of an outsider, “an unusual boy,” Alam looks at what is happening in the margins.
A man who tries to find a way to live in peace in the adult world, a “very sensitive person” in a modern world.
Or are we all like that? Is there really such a thing as a “defective person” who needs a remedy to “fix” him or a “mediocre boy” who needs treatment so that he can fit in and be part of the rule? To be a boy at school? A high school student? Part of the class? Some of the guys? Or does man as a person no longer matter at all, but only the function he uses within the social structure? Is the psychological structure, the spiritual fingerprint, the structure of emotions arranged in a one-time manner and changing from person to person – relevant? Or do we live in an age when we say to a child – be like everyone else or not at all?

Shai Amit is a writer, author of four books of prose, lecturer and owner of the publishing house “Shablul”. In addition, he works with young men and women from all walks of life, the common denominator of which is their non-integration into the social structure – from youth at risk to gifted and gifted youth, youth with ADHD, and youth with Asperger’s syndrome.

The meeting will start at 19:30 , Opening Doors at 19:00
