Fri 22 June 2018 - Sat 23 June 2018 | 10:00 am - 9:00 am
Givat Haviva - Givat Haviva, Ma'anit Secretariat,

Experience the joy of SHABLISS, a unique music and shabbat-inspired festival where everyone is free to be themselves and have a good time.

Launched in November 2017, the inaugural SHABLISS festival was held over 3 magical days in the surrounding countryside of Melbourne Australia and was a big success with over 250 people in attendance. The name comes from the words ‘shabbat’ and ‘bliss’ and is the experience of switching off from everyday life and nurturing your mind, body and soul.

SHABLISS is coming to Israel from 22-23 June, 2018 and will be held at Givat Haviva (www.hagiva.org.il), a special place located 10 minutes from Pardes Hanna that aims to build an inclusive, socially cohesive society in Israel by engaging divided communities in collective action towards the advancement of a sustainable, thriving Israeli democracy based on mutual responsibility, civic equality and a shared vision of the future. The site has lots of open and shaded green areas with space for camping as well as dorm room and private room (up to 8) accommodation, food hall, workshop spaces and a large swimming pool which is the perfect way to escape the intense summer heat!

SHABLISS will feature live performances from local artists, workshops, yoga, meditation and a shuk/market on friday. There will also be healthy food available, as well as a bar and cafe to quench all thirsts.

SHABLISS is open to people from all walks of life, where new and old friends can meet and dance together and experience the bliss of shabbat in a real and deep way – just like the prophets dreamed about!

There will be no live music over shabbat, giving people an opportunity for some peaceful bliss. There will still be yoga, meditation, workshops, kids activities, meaningful prayer, as well as great food, drinks and exclusive use of the swimming pool. Some people will be observing Shabbat and some won’t, so we ask everyone for openness, acceptance and respect. God Bless!
