On Wednesday, June 9, the film “The Separate Beach” will be screened in the courtyard of Cafe Shapira, followed by an open conversation with the creator, Karin Keiner.

Only half an hour’s drive separates the ultra-Orthodox Bnei Brak from the beach in Tel Aviv, but in terms of modesty and purity it is thousands of light years. And yet in the center of the secular bubble, in a small bay that is 500 meters long, which also includes the Proud Community Beach, the separate beach takes place. The only beach in the world that separates men and women, to which the “brave group” headed by Rebbetzin Ravitz “escapes” on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. The group are ultra-Orthodox from Bnei Brak who find independence, freedom and refuge from their difficult lives on the beach. Until one day the rabbis try to close their private paradise to them.

What will the brave companies do? Will they succumb to their girlfriend’s strict dictates?

ברביעי, 9.6, יוקרן בחצר של קפה שפירא הסרט “החוף הנפרד”, ואחריו תתקיים שיחה פתוחה עם היוצרת, קרין קיינר.

רק חצי שעת נסיעה מפרידה בין בני ברק החרדית לחוף הים בתל אביב, אך במושגי הצניעות והטהרה מדובר באלפי שנות אור. ובכל זאת במרכז בועת החילוניות, במפרץ קטן שכל אורכו הוא 500 מטר, אשר כולל בתוכו גם את חוף הקהילה הגאה, מתקיים החוף הנפרד. החוף היחידי בעולם אשר מפריד בין גברים לנשים, ואליו “בורחות” ‘חבורת האמיצות’ בראשותה של הרבנית רביץ בימי ראשון, שלישי וחמישי. החבורה הן חרדיות מבני ברק אשר מוצאות בחוף עצמאות, חופש ומפלט מחייהן הקשים. עד שיום אחד מנסים הרבנים לסגור להם את גן העדן הפרטי שלהן.
