Cafe Shapira - Ralbag 15, Tel Aviv,

On Wednesday, August 21, we will screen Assaf Ehrenreich’s film “Retirement Party” at Cafe Shapira.

After the film screening, an open conversation will be held with the filmmaker, Assaf Erenreich.

Summary:
Immediately after her long-awaited retirement, Hannah became fibromyalgia. Her husband Tuvia is unwilling to accept the fact that even when he is retiring, he fears he will lose his place in the world and settle down with his sorrowing wife, while she waits for a moment to be with her and give her the sense of security that she so lacks.
In the middle stands their son – the film’s director who tries to clog the holes in the menacing dam to collapse.
The delicate threads that make up their relationship are exposed during a period of adaptation to a new life, a situation that forces them after 45 years of marriage to try and recreate themselves.
