Cafe Shapira - Ralbag 15, Tel Aviv, FREE

On Wednesday, 12.12, Shai Alexandroni’s film “Mother Tongue” will be screened at Cafe Shapira.
The film tells the story of four women in their sixties who tell about their charged relationships with their late mothers. Their stories also involve the power relations in the family and with their children.

Three of the women are second-generation Holocaust survivors and one is of Yemenite origin. They deal with a variety of occupations and their personal background is not uniform. Their sincerity and directness eliminates the differences and interwoven one story, in separate voices.

After the film there will be an open discussion with the artist, Shai Alexandroni.
