Ending the musical month with a documentary in Shapira with the cult series “The Albums” in an episode that celebrates the band of witches and the immortal album “To the next pleasure”.
After the screening, a conversation with the creators Avida Livni and Yoav Kutner

The Albums is a documentary television series, which deals with the story of the making of Israeli music albums, with each episode dealing with one album. For the most part, the series deals with debut albums, and the story of the artists’ beginnings. Each episode contains interviews with the artists who created the album and others involved in it (producers, arrangers, etc.), archive footage, and contemporary live performances of songs from the album by the artists.

Until the next pleasure is the first album of the band “The Witches” from 1994. A year after its release it was a gold album. The album is considered a breakthrough in Israeli music.

Yoav Kutner is a music editor and Israeli radio broadcaster, lecturer, music critic on radio, television and the press. Winner of the Ekum Award.

Avida Livni is a director and screenwriter. Among his works are “Must Move”, “Where Has Moshe Gaz Gone”, “Murder in the North Cinema” and the series “Where is the Food” and “The Albums”.

האלבומים היא סדרת טלוויזיה תיעודית, אשר עוסקת בסיפור עשייתם של אלבומי מוזיקה ישראליים, כאשר כל פרק עוסק באלבום אחד. לרוב הסדרה עוסקת באלבומי בכורה, וסיפור תחילת דרכם של האמנים. כל פרק מכיל ראיונות עם האמנים שיצרו את האלבום ואחרים המעורבים בו (מפיקים, מעבדים ועוד), קטעי ארכיון, וביצועים חיים עכשוויים של שירים מהאלבום על ידי האמנים.

עד העונג הבא הוא אלבומה הראשון של להקת “המכשפות” משנת 1994. שנה לאחר יציאתו היה לאלבום זהב. האלבום נחשב לפריצת דרך במוזיקה הישראלית.

יואב קוטנר הוא עורך מוזיקה ושדרן רדיו ישראלי, מרצה, מבקר מוזיקה ברדיו, בטלוויזיה ובעיתונות. זוכה פרס אקו”ם.

אבידע ליבני הוא במאי ותסריטאי. בין עבודותיו “חייב לזוז”, “לאן נעלם משה גז”, “רצח בקולנוע צפון” והסדרות “איפה האוכל” ו”האלבומים”.
