Polly - Rothschild Boulevard 60, Tel Aviv,

Come see the scripted reading of the hilarious and thought-provoking play, “I’m a Slut, Sababa,” by Caitlin Beckwith-Ferguson, about sexuality, gender, and feminism in Judaism and Israel.

The play is based on interviews with twenty Israeli women, and revolves around five characters that emerged from the interviews. Some of these women were born in Israel; others immigrated from different countries. They are all Jewish, but some are religious, and others are secular. What these five characters have in common is that they believe in the power of women. They are all feminists. And yet, these women have many different views and experiences. This play explores themes of empowerment, validation, control, desire and self-awareness.

Performers:
Eliana Sagarin, Sapir Zveigel, Inbar Strum, Chloe Dougherty and Caitlin Beckwith-Ferguson
