We, the citizens of Israel and the world, are young
And adults, from all corners of Israel and the political spectrum – unite in a joint call for the Israeli government to join many countries around the world: take responsibility and declare a climate emergency in Israel!
The climate crisis is causing the terrible fires in Israel and all over the world from Siberia, North America, Europe and Australia which destroy everything that stands in their way, and extreme rainfall events that cause floods like in Germany, New York and France and claim precious human lives.
Israel is warming at a rate twice as fast as the world average, and according to the IPCC scientists’ report, only a determined and immediate policy will lead to a mitigation of the climate crisis and allow humanity to cope and prevent a rise of more than 2 degrees Celsius.
The World Climate Conference in Glasgow this coming November must be a turning point in human and Israeli history, for which we must unite in order to fight the big corporations whose activities are accelerating the effects of the crisis.

We are part of the largest global movement in history – it is time to act and lead the world to a better place for us and our precious nature, which will allow us, all of us, a better, healthier and more just life.

We call on our partners and partners, the decision makers in the government and the Knesset, the business sector, civil society and academia to march with us on 29.10.21 and promote the demand for a better life and future for us, for future generations and all life on earth.
