The state operetta of Budapest will open the year of the Hungarian culture in Israel with a big gala performance of Operetta Gala. The program of the bright show is made up of the most famous musical fragments of the best operettas of all time. The most famous melodies of Franz Legar, Imre Kalman and Franz Liszt will be performed. The operetta stars, the most famous singers of our time, take part in the performance. Together with the soloists, the dancers of the Hungarian National Dance Company will appear on the stage and present the famous Hungarian dances of Johannes Brahms and the dance compositions of other famous composers to Israeli audiences.
The performance “Operetta Gala” will be accompanied by the orchestra of the Budapest State Operetta. This unforgettable evening in the hall will be dominated by the unique atmosphere of the Hungarian musical culture.
The Budapest Operetta Theater was established in 1923 and is still the most popular theater in Hungary and one of the most famous in Europe. Hungarian operettas with their incendiary spirit, national dances, temperamental images, unsurpassed emotions are popular all over the world.
