As if Rudolph Noriev’s great charisma, his wonderful talent and dramatic life story – was not enough, the filmmakers discovered videos that had never been exposed before, in which he danced in rehearsals and on the stage, and some modern works that were not recorded
. Not always nice and sometimes aggressive and mean, but always mesmerizing. The tortuous path he made from the poor Tartar house to the great podiums of the Soviet Union and from there – after he deserted – to the hearts of all the lovers of dance in the West, is described in the film through many of his great performances. These are accompanied by memoirs and close associates, some of which are adapted for dance, chapters from his diary (called Great Sean Phillips) and rare photographs from historical events in his life ~
