Nick Black – Purple Unicorn
The singer, bassist and creator Nick West is one of the hottest names in the music world today.
After playing with Prince, she worked with legendary producer Quincy Jones and became a favorite of Lenny Kravitz, Steven Tyler and George Clinton. She began an impressive solo career with solo shows in front of a crowd of thousands from Japan through Australia to Europe.
Her purple Mohawk haircut, the bursting energies on stage, her singing and above all – her terrifying punk bass playing, do not allow anyone to remain indifferent to her.
And indeed, everyone who played with her or was in her performances speaks in praise.
“Full of energy and punk” – Lenny Kravitz
“Nick West inspires me” – Prince
“Now that’s a bad mamma jamma!” – the legendary Quincy Jones processor
“Nick West puts the punk back in the middle of things, I love everything she does.” – The Legend of the punk bassist Bootsy Collins.
