The Musrara Mix International Art and Music Festival returns for the 21st year to the historic building of the school and the House of Canada, with a rich multidisciplinary international program that includes performance, video art, music performances, audiovisual works and a protest film program. The festival will take place from 30.11-2.12 (Tuesdays-Thursdays) between 19: 30-23: 00. Admission is free to all music and art events, subject to green label guidelines.

The MusraraMix 21 Festival takes place in the year that marks the 50th anniversary of the Israeli Black Panthers’ struggle and protest, the first social protest movement in Israel to emerge in the early 1970s in the Musrara neighborhood – the place and space where the school has operated for over 30 years and where the international festival takes place.
The “High Tones” festival will touch on clear political issues as well as the deepest layers of building an individual’s subjective identity, and will present artists engaged in their creation of the body as a private space that can express protest against the external environment. A protest that is not necessarily political in the topical sense, but pulsates the freedom of artistic expression and gives creators space for independent and kicking expression.

פסטיבל האמנות והמוזיקה הבינלאומי “מוסררה מיקס” חוזר זו השנה ה-21 לבניין ההיסטורי של בית הספר ולבית קנדה, עם תוכנית רב־תחומית בין־לאומית עשירה הכוללת פרפורמנס, וידאו־ארט, הופעות מוזיקה, עבודות אודיו־ויזואליות ותוכנית סרטי מחאה. הפסטיבל יתקיים בין התאריכים 30.11-2.12 (ימים שלישי-חמישי) בין השעות 19:30-23:00. הכניסה חופשית לכל אירועי המוזיקה והאמנות, בכפוף להנחיות התו הירוק.

פסטיבל מוסררהמיקס 21 מתקיים בשנה בה מציינים 50 שנה למאבק ולמחאת הפנתרים השחורים הישראלים, תנועת המחאה החברתית הראשונה בישראל שצמחה בתחילת שנות ה־70 בשכונת מוסררה – המקום והמרחב שבו פועל בית הספר מעל ל־30 שנה ושבו מתקיים הפסטיבל הבינלאומי.
הפסטיבל “טונים גבוהים” ייגע בנושאים פוליטיים מובהקים כמו גם ברבדים העמוקים ביותר של בניית זהותו הסובייקטיבית של הפרט, ויציג אומנים העוסקים ביצירתם בגוף כמרחב פרטי היכול לבטא מחאה אל מול הסביבה החיצונית. מחאה שאינה בהכרח פוליטית במובן האקטואלי, אך פועמת את חופש הביטוי האומנותי ומעניקה ליוצרים מרחב לביטוי עצמאי ובועט.

במסגרת התוכנית המוזיקלית בפסטיבל יעלו על הבמה מאירה אשר, עמר גולדנברג, אוי דיוויז’ן (אסף תלמודי, איל תלמודי, גרשון לייזרסון ואביחי טוכמן, בהשתתפות נועם ענבר), הג’מעה של תחריר, ליונל מרקטי, זוהר שפיר, דני וויליאמסון, מעיין צדקה, מקסים טורבו, שרון קנטור, שוהם (סכנה) מנלה, אנסמבל מוזיקה נובה.
אמנים משתתפים: איציק גיל אביזוהר, אלינורה שוורץ, אלכס דרול, אמין אבו זהרה, אנה ווילד, דניאל אלחסיד, דני וויליאמסון, הילה הראל, זוהר שפיר, חיה רוקין ברקמן, חן כהן ואיה צייגר, טל מיכאליס, כנרת’ מאיר טאטי, מכון לחקר החופש, מנאר זועבי, מרב דביש בן משה, נועה רשף, רועי מנחם מרקוביץ, שחר מרקוס וסטודנטים מהמחלקות השונות בביה”ס מוסררה.
