Morcheva, singer Sky Edwards and musician Ross Godfrey on their way to Israel. The group, which has sold over 10 million albums worldwide and has been highly regarded, has maintained its unique style, which combines many styles and has attracted a large audience over the years.
The current tour is a great success and a great demand following Edwards’ return to the activity. Her voice so identified with the ensemble combined with Paul’s guitar playing create unforgettable moments on stage.
MORCHEEBA, the brothers Paul and Ross Godfrey – one di. Jay and the other instrumentalist from London, began their journey as an electro-pop ensemble. In 1996 they were joined by singer Sky Edwards, a black singer with a wonderful silky voice, and together they formed the band Morcheva. Their album “Who Can You Trust” received great reviews mainly because they did not try to be commercial and catchy but brought something new.
The band refuses to be included in one musical category and combines pop with chill out, sol, folk, hip hop, trip hop, dance and electronics, and with the mix of styles he managed to create his own identified and unique sound. In 1998, the second album, Big Calm, was released, which marked a change in the band’s music and was expanded into a soul, hip hop and psychedelic rock. With the release of the album they embarked on a long tour in the world, at the end of which the three decided to take a break.
In 2000 they returned to record and released the album Fragments of Freedom, which symbolized a new summit of the ensemble. It was less melancholy and the sound was different.
