Monty Python: “Brian Superstar” –
Special Screening for Good Friday and 40 Years of Film Celebration! We are excited to present a new copy to be screened at selected theaters around the world on April 18 only. But before that, Alon Gur Aryeh, creator of “The Closed Mossad,” will be here to tell all kinds of things about the Monty Python group.
So on one foot what will be there?
The Monty Python group – the world’s most famous band of British comedians, from the day they met in the BBC corridors and staged the Flying Circus behind the scenes of their films The Holy Grail, Brian Top Star and Taste of Life.
How did law, literature, and medicine students become the world’s most famous comedians? How did the BBC persuade them to give them a chance? Who won the war declared by the Catholic Church? And why should you ask so many questions when you are invited to a really worthwhile evening?
The lecture will be accompanied by rare archive passages and quotations from the audience. … And remember, no one expects the Spanish Inquisition.
So on the eve of the Seder and the Good Friday, Jesus happily ascends to the cross and remembers to look at the good side of life, meet at the Herzliya Cinematheque for Alon’s lecture and a screening of a new and cool copy of “Brian Superstar”.
