~~~~~
Stav Shaffir rose to public prominence in the summer of 2011 after taking a leading role in the so-called ‘tent protests’ – the largest social protest movement in Israel’s history – and in 2013 became the youngest ever female Knesset member, having been selected for the Labor Party list aged just 27. Throughout her political career, MK Shaffir has developed a reputation as a tireless campaigner for social justice in a number of key areas, including gender equality, freedom of worship, the struggle for affordable housing, and financial transparency.
