‘Shall We Fall?’

Written and performed by: Neta Pollak and Noa Lara Meir

In a circus scene, in a world where it is forbidden to fall, two acrobats devote themselves to the pleasure and liberation that can relax. In art that sanctifies body and strength, what place does femininity have? Humanity? What is permitted? What is forbidden?

We are expected to impress, to smile even when it is hard to breathe, not to make a sound, to hide when it hurts, and to wear pantyhose to cover the blue marks. We must not fall.

And if we fall?

The show “Shall We Fall?” Premiered at the Bat Yam Festival of 2017 Street Theater.

Thanks for artistic accompaniment and advice along the way: Amitai Yaish, Maya Arad Yasur, Haim Abramsky, Orit Nevo, Lee Meir, Anat Grigorio, Stav Marin.
