M.ART presents the first Tel Aviv showcase of the CONTEXT festival, established by Diana Vishneva, featuring the best of Russian contemporary choreography.

Having taken Moscow and Saint Petersburg by storm, CONTEXT starts its international tour in Tel Aviv followed by London in spring 2019. The programme will include a solo by Russian prima Diana Vishneva, excerpts from Kirill Serebrennikov’s ballet Nureyev and a carefully curated program of dance productions by a new generation of choreographers who are shaping contemporary Russian dance scene.

Diana Vishneva’s CONTEXT Festival features a wide range of choreographers, bringing international talents to share the stage with domestic artists. Having taken Moscow and Saint Petersburg by storm the Festival became a significant platform for gifted up-and-coming choreographers and dancers. The choices are always eclectic, representing diversity in dance. Diana Vishneva’s programming is driven by an insatiable curiosity to discover and experience dance from many different perspectives.
