– Some things you did not know about Dov-
Dov Hammer is one of the oldest and most prolific blues artists in Israel.
He immigrated to Israel from Chicago, USA, and began his career in the late 1980s as a harmonica player in the band of Canadian blues artist Ted Cooper.
Over the years Dov led the bands
The Daily Blues, Cg & The Hammer
And The Blues Rebels.
With these ensembles he recorded eight albums of original music, and also performed with the best blues artists in the world –
Joe Louis Walker, Lucky Peterson, the legendary Johnny Winter heating of the
Dov also performed extensively throughout the United States and Europe and at the best festivals in Israel.
The BLUES POWER is a trio that includes Dov Hammer together with Gil Katzir and Yair Payne in guitars. The band plays authentic blues from Mississippi and Chicago, and gives real taste, with harmonica and guitar, to songs by artists such as Maddy Waters, Robert Johnson and Jimmy Reed and many others.
