Bookstore’s first Little Tel Aviv
Speakers: Ziv and light Bialik

A common thread between characters, their story is a bookstore established by Rabbi Moshe Jacobson, His wife Leah Jacobson , and her brother Joshua Gordon. They begin with counting love between a young Israeli Zionist son of Rishon Lezion to choose a meeting in Latvia, and their rise and fall in Little Tel Aviv with the help of a brother, entrepreneur, businessman and public activist.

Original documents, letters, and postcards kept by the family, family stories, literature and Israeli press from the period used by Ziv Bialik and his sister Ora Bialik, third generation store founders, in the study of family history. They will tell the family’s fascinating life story as interwoven with their equally fascinating family research story, marking the 110th anniversary of the founding of the first Hebrew city.
