Lilenblum 33 - Lilenblum 33, Tel Aviv,

At the opening exhibition of the new space of Hezi Cohen Gallery at 33 Lilienblum Street, Tel Aviv, Letters from a Certain Future to an Unexpected Past, the artist will unveil new works, the product of conceptual and material research from the past year. A disgrace (Igor Revlis 1983) will present a series of paintings alongside an installation created in thought and adapted to the new gallery space.

In the exhibition, disgrace continues to deal with questions of identity through images that raise questions of belonging. Whether it belongs to a physical space of his imagination or images of a body detached from a clear physical space, the image becomes the carrier of the idea rather than the subject itself.

The symbolism found in the images in the exhibition is a letter between the private and the collective memory. The fragmented images relate to a specific and almost specific emotion, creating a series of visual clues that allow for a complete experience of belonging and attrition at the same time.
