Once a year, the LaCulture TLV Art Initiative is going out of its home gallery, to a local bar / gallery that aspires to make local art accessible and affordable as well.
This year, the exhibition will take place in the beautiful gallery of the Cuckoo’s Nest in Jaffa, and will be in the theme of TYPOGRAPHICS, a combination of typography and graphics.
LaCulture will fill the gallery space with 140 contemporary works by 90 local artists, using techniques such as calligraphy, printing, illustration, silk-screen printing, linoleum cutting and paintings. The works will be in different sizes and formats, and will be offered for sale.
In addition to works of art, we will present 40 original “Flash art pieces” [tattoo designs] that were made especially for the exhibition from 10 of the best tattoo artists that Tel Aviv has to offer.
Visitors will be able to buy tattoos in the exhibition, just like they buy a piece of art. The design will be reserved only for the buyers and they will receive the piece they purchased. As a result -> a tattoo at the tattoo-artists studio.
As in any LaCulture exhibition, the prices of the pieces will not exceed 500 NIS, including tattoos, original works and limited editions.
This LaCulture exhibition will work in the format of #BUYITTAKEIT. In this method, visitors purchase works and take them off the wall immediately. After the artwork has been removed from the wall, a reproduction of it will appear on the wall instead of it. Therefore, the visitors of the exhibition will still be able to see which art piece was there before.
The exhibition will happen for one weekend only at the Cuckoo’s Nest in Jaffa and will begin with a festive opening event on Thursday the 13th at 19:00, with excellent music and a easy going atmosphere.
This is a great opportunity to buy art for sane prices or just presents for the upcoming holidays.
