The multi-medium installation “Lacrima” examines how objects taken from the function of shedding tears in its aesthetic and socio-political contexts are given meaning. Between a Wonder Room and taxonomic exhibits, Naama examines mechanisms of control and concealment built throughout human history. The visitor enters a multi-sensory experience, looks at exhibits behind precise observation posts, confesses to subversive questions about crying behind perceptual confessional cells, and listens to a sound that mimics the process of creating tears of all kinds.
