Polly - Rothschild Boulevard 60, Tel Aviv,

On Saturday night, 22.9, we will host Kobi’s lecture on drugs and war at the “think & drink” at the Poly bar.

In addition to weapons, a canteen and a letter from a lover, psychoactive substances accompany the warrior from the beginning of history until his present day. From the Nordic crackers to the US soldiers in Vietnam, from the Wehrmacht to the Da’ash fighters, the soldiers’ blood flowed more than the spirit of battle and devotion to the cause.
Do drugs improve or impair the functioning of the battlefield, does the command encourage or fight the phenomenon, does every war have its own drug, and why do soldiers really want to obscure themselves?

Kobi Hubera is a world wars researcher, lecturer, teacher and publicist, historical consultant to film and theater and a guest expert on the “Life of Others” program on Army Radio

The meeting will begin at 19:30, opening doors at 19:00
