Keyon Harrold (USA) hosts Andrea Pizziconi

National premiere

The trumpeter, Keon Harold, will arrive in Israel as part of a world tour to launch his album The Mugician (the lyrics of Musician + Magic).

Harold, nicknamed by Winton Marsalis “The Future of the Trumpet” was born in Ferguson, the suburb of St. Lewis, who broke into world awareness in 2014 following the wave of violence that swept him after the killing of the black young Michael Brown by the police.

The pain, rage and trauma that Harold experienced following these events are expressed in his wonderful new album, Music and the Politically Brave in America in the Age of Trump – The Mugician.

The music of the Harold Cion, albeit very contemporary, with current rock and hip hop energies, is rooted in the jazz tradition in general, and in music and in the sound of Miles Davis. Not surprisingly, Harold was chosen to play the Miles Ahead biographical film, which earned Harold the prestigious Grammy Award.

Harold’s Quintet will host several songs from the album The Mugician by Andrea Fitzikuni.

Keyon Harrold (trumpet); Nir Felder (guitar); Brett Williams (piano); Burniss Travis (bass); Charles Haynes (drums)

Special guest star: Andrea Pizziconi (vocals)
