Jerusalem - Aharon Sholov, Jerusalem, 100 NIS

The origin of messenger racing is in the way of transmitting messages between countries in ancient times, done by a messenger.

The race will held in the Jerusalem mountains, leaving from the Israel Aquarium complex (near the Biblical Zoo), with runners competing in groups of 2 or 4.

The length of the route is 30 km and it is divided into 4 sections:
Section 1 – 6.6 km long, exits the Israel Aquarium and ends at Khirbet Sa’adim
Section 2 – length 10.6 km, exits Saadim and returns to the same point
Section 3 – length 6 km, leaves from Saadim and returns to the same point
Section 4 – 6.6 km long, leaves Saadim and returns to the Israel Aquarium (same as the first section)

Shuttles for participants depart from the Israel Aquarium to Khirbet Sa’adim, and back.

Participants must choose the sections they want to perform in and pass the baton from one to the other (there will be one baton per group).

The route passes through the landscapes surrounding Jerusalem through antiquities from the Byzantine period and trees from the antiquities in Israel.
