Ellington – is one of the most important musicians in the history of modern music, one of the most prolific American composers of the 20th century, and who wrote about 2000 pieces and different works, between music and dance, through jazz suites, music to musicals and movies,

After training with Pats Waller, his ensemble began in the 1930s to perform at the Cotton Club in the Harlem neighborhood, where he was very successful and wrote hundreds of hits and standards with a noble and refined tone – a unique feature that eventually led to his nickname – The Duke. His sophisticated harmonious moves, his sharp personality, his ingenuity in composing and his fight for American rights in the United States earned him the temporary status of one of the Founding Fathers ~

On Saturday, 11.5, we will meet at the Beit Romano Plaza after afternoon and evening, inspired by Ellington with the Nitai Hershkovitz trio and the Stricker Big Band – an initial collaboration conducted by Yuval Cohen and the artistic director of Nitai Hershkovitz – one of the promising young artists who left Israel in recent years , Modern esoteric classics and materials that have not been recorded or played in public from Ellington’s vast body of work!

Yudko’s quintet will warm up with far-reaching adaptations of Ellington’s pieces, in a composition of legends – Yuval Cohen, Ofer Ganor, Barak Mori, Aviv Cohen and of course –

Will be recorded before and between >> Rijoser and the brothers Cauzy – Zach Bar and Sefi Ciesling ~
