Israeli Design Day was established with the goal of making local creativity accessible as a core value, among other things by raising awareness of the very existence of designers and making their work accessible to the general public. This year, Design Day is taking place under the central theme – ROOTS, in three areas in Tel Aviv-Yafo, Kiryat El-Melacha and Gan HaHashmal.
The main exhibition of Design Day will be presented at the YAARA OPEN STUDIO gallery on Shimon HaTzadik Street in Jaffa. You can visit the exhibition independently or join a paid guided tour.
Israeli Design Day is a tradition that celebrates its 4th year this year! It is always celebrated on the Thursday before Hanukkah. We believe that design, as a value, should be made accessible from a young age, which is why every Design Day also includes activities for children.
The children’s content that is integrated into Design Day is managed by Ofri Sarig, who holds a master’s degree in educational entrepreneurship from Tel Aviv University, an educator and spirit, who brings an advanced and unique perspective when it comes to putting the child at the center and the ability to convey valuable, meaningful content to them from an experiential perspective.
To allow the maximum audience to come and experience the local designers, Design Day events are held over two weekends – December 5-6 and December 12.
The audience is invited to obtain a map of the complexes and conduct an independent tour. The map will be available in the studio spaces and can be obtained during the visit.
Special events for architects, interior designers, and design club subscribers are taking place starting December 1st.

יום העיצוב הישראלי קם במטרה להנגיש יצירה מקומית כערך ליבה, בין השאר באמצעות העלאת המודעות לעצם קיומם של המעצבים והנגשת עשייתם לקהל הרחב. השנה מתקיים יום העיצוב תחת התמה המרכזית – ROOTS, בשלושה מקודים בעיר תל אביב- יפו, קריית המלאכה ומתחם החשמל.
התערוכה המרכזית של יום העיצוב תוצג בגלריה YAARA OPEN STUDIO ברחוב שמעון הצדיק ביפו. ניתן לבקר בתערוכה באופן עצמאי או להצטרף לסיור מודרך בתשלום.
יום העיצוב הישראלי הוא מסורת שחוגגת השנה 4! והוא מצוין תמיד ביום חמישי שלפני חנוכה. אנו מאמינים שיש להנגיש עיצוב, כערך, כבר מגיל צעיר ולכן בכל יום עיצוב משולבת גם פעילות לילדים.
את תכני הילדים שמשתלבים ביום העיצוב מנהלת עפרי שריג, בעלת תואר שני ביזמות בחינוך מאוניברסיטת תל אביב, אשת חינוך ורוח, שמביאה תפיסה מתקדמת וייחודית בכל הנוגע לשימת הילד.ה במרכז וביכולת להעביר לו.ה תכנים בעלי ערך, משמעותיים, ממקום חווייתי.
בכדי לאפשר למקסימום קהל להגיע ולחוות את המעצבים המקומיים, אירועי יום העיצוב מתקיימים במהלך שני סופי שבוע- 5-6 בדצמבר וה- 12 בדצמבר.
הקהל מוזמן להצטייד במפה של המתחמים ולערוך סיור עצמאי. המפה תמתין בחללי הסטודיו וניתן יהיה לקבלה בעת הביקור.
אירועים מיוחדים לאדריכלים, מעצבי פנים ומנויי מועדון העיצוב מתקיימים החל מה-1 בדצמבר.
