The annual International Tourism Tourism Exhibition (IMTM) is the annual and major annual event of the Israeli tourism industry and is sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism, the Israel Hotel Association and El Al, in cooperation with the Israel Travel and Tourism Agents Association, Situated in Tel Aviv Yafo.
The exhibition is intended for all those involved in the various tourism sectors – domestic tourism, incoming tourism, countries and tourism bodies from abroad, and has a wide range of Israeli exhibitors: tourism associations from all over the country, airlines, hotels, car rental companies, shipping companies and suppliers. Services and attractions of various kinds.
In 2017, 1,780 exhibitors from 58 countries took part in the exhibition in 414 pavilions. In the course of two days, 27,000 people visited it, of which 16,800 were professionals. The exhibition is an international event that combines and brings together Israeli tourists, colleagues and clients from abroad and the general public, and is in fact the main annual meeting point of the Israeli tourism industry.
In the past years, the professionals arrived in the mornings and joined the crowd in search of new destinations for vacations, attractions and attractive offers that can only be found at the exhibition.
2018 will be the 24th consecutive year in which the exhibition will develop from year to year and includes professional meetings and conferences that have already become a tradition that encourages the arrival of the professional audience. In the afternoons there are presentations and lectures to the general public.
Another major activity is the IMTM Hosted Buyers Program, which brings together about 100 decision makers from around the world who market Israel as a tourist destination. The program is the result of cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism, the Greater Tel Aviv Hotel Association, the Office of Incoming Tour Operators and El Al.
