The story of Holocaust survivor and Indepence fighter Dov Landau.
Born in Poland, Dov Landau survived the death camps and made his way to pre-state Palestine. Joining the nascent Israeli army, he fought in Gush Etzion in the War of Independence. He was captured by the Jordanians and interned as POW for a year in Jordan.
Dov Landau’s life-story was the basis for the character of the same name in Leon Uris’s bestselling book Exodus. From destruction to independence, Dov’s story is that of Israel’s greatest generation.
