Welcome to The Stage’s First Annual Sketchfest! 🙂 This is a multiweek festival of sketch comedy that will celebrate, write, and perform sketch comedy.
This is an event that will take approximately two weeks depending on your desired role. This is NOT an Actathon and is NOT created in just 48 hours. Writers will have time to think about their sketches, make drafts and get feedback from the whole team. Actors will have time to memorize their scenes before the performances on December 4th. Yes, PERFORMANCES — due to the shorter length of the show and the audience demand, we will perform twice on Saturday night. And also because it’s a Hanukkah miracle and our energy can last brightly for two shows!!!
** NOTE: This is a Hanukkah Sketchfest because it falls during the holiday — and because we love doughnuts. But the sketches are not holiday-based and you won’t need to celebrate to participate. Even if you’re Hellenistic, you can join in on the fun! Writers may play drunk dreidel because that’s awesome, but that’s about it. **
