About Moshe Tuz-Paz:
Moshe (Kinley) Tur-Paz was born in the United States, grew up in Haifa and Jerusalem, and currently lives on Kibbutz Kfar Etzion in Gush Etzion.
He is a graduate of the Wexner Foundation Senior Leadership Program at Harvard University.
Tur-Paz is a lieutenant colonel in active reserve service. He served as an officer and combat soldier in the paratroopers in southern Lebanon, as the commander of a company of combat soldiers in Operation Defensive Shield, as a deputy battalion commander in Operation Cast Lead in the Gaza Strip, as a commander of the Marom Foxes Brigade reconnaissance battalion and as an operations officer in the Gaza Division.

In 2005, in preparation for the implementation of the Disengagement Plan from the Gaza Strip, he was the initiator and founder of the Yom Pekuda forum—a forum for religious officers to combat the refusal to follow orders. From 1997 to 2006, he served as a teacher and educator at Pelech Girls High School in Jerusalem, and from 2000 to 2006 he was also a lecturer at the Hebrew University.

Between 2001 and 2005, he served as chairman of Ne’emanei Torah Va’Avoda, a movement that works to integrate the religious community into general society in Israel.

From 2006–2012, he was the principal of the Shaked religious post-primary school in Kibbutz Sde Eliyahu. After several years under his leadership, the school ranked first in the index of enlistment for significant IDF service and the percentage of students eligible for a matriculation certificate had increased significantly. As a result, Tur-Paz was granted the Religious Education Award as outstanding school principal in 2012. He founded 11 ultra-Orthodox public schools and established joint learning activities for the city’s diverse communities. In 2016 he won the Ministry of Education’s Outstanding Local Authority Award for Education.

Tur-Paz established and ran the education network of the religious kibbutz movement and served as director of education of Kadima Mada schools. In 2021, he was appointed director general of the Zionist Council.

He serves as a Member of Twenty-fourth Knesset on behalf of the Yesh Atid parliamentary group. He is a member of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee and of the Knesset Education, Culture and Sports Committee.
