The Intercontinental PowerCapel with its sweeping and spectacular body returns to Tel Aviv after 6 years of absence.

Hank & Cupcakes, duo-power-pop with the energies of a complete carnival, no intention of stopping. For years, Ariel “Hank” Rarkowski [bass, arrangement and arrangements] and the tag “cupcakes” song [drums, poetry, writing and melodies] are moving together genres, cities and cultures: from the dark Tel Aviv composition “Quiet Water,” through Cuban music studies in Havana , Living in urban Brooklyn and the current incarnation in Atlanta – the duo has accumulated a host of influences that made Hank & Cupcakes a colorful, eclectic and addictive celebration.

The world did not remain indifferent: After appearing all over New York and warming Plesibu with us, in 2011 they entered the list of “15 artists expected to break out this year” of the Huffington Post, and immediately signed a distribution agreement with BMG, the third largest publing company in the world, On a record contract. In 2012, they released their first EP, “Is not No Love,” which featured poppy-disco qualities alongside Edge Rockn’rolli. That same year the duo took another peak, with the single “Liquid Mercury” entering the Billboard charts. “Naked”, their first album recorded in the legendary Hansa studio in Berlin, was released in 2013 and featured a unique and well-honed sound that received excellent reviews. Their second album, Cash 4 Gold, was released a year later independently, with parts of it recorded at New York’s Subway stations and at the American Museum of Nature. From 2014 to 2015, the duo went on a tour of about 200 performances [!] And about 20 festivals across the US, alongside huge names like Paul McCartney, Ozzie Osborne, Snoop Dogg, The Ruts, etc. Their third album, Cheap Thrill, Lavi [Van Goose] and mastering under the hands of Grammy winner Marc Christensen, came out about a year ago and was also enthusiastically criticized for his style.

Over the years, Hank and Cupcakes have gathered a huge crowd of fans and positioned themselves as one of the most dynamic, productive and fascinating pairs in the region. Alongside the music, the pair’s connection to the world of art and performance is evident in their colorful and eclectic style and in performances that combine eccentric costumes, spectacular scenery [artist Claudio Lemon responsible for the present] and an electrifying stage presence.
