Join Finjan for a Galilean hiking adventure deep into the Kziv River Gorge and above the towering Montfort crusader castle
Israel’s northwestern frontier is characterized by its deep river gorges, lush Mediterranean woodlands and the diversity of its countryside population. These elements make it the perfect destination for a year-round hiking destination and a true Galilean adventure.
Our route will combine the woodland forests of the Upper Galilee, hiking through flowing water in the perennial Kziv water-gorge, meeting the famous ‘Man in the Wall’ and of course – a panoramic view looking out on the Crusader citadel of Montfort (the mountain fortress)
Throughout the day we will delve into the area’s population composition and how the area became an integral part of Israel’s northwestern corridor – situated just south of the Lebanese border.
This is a moderately difficult hike with some sharp descents and a final climb up from the gorge to the northern ridge-line of the gorge. The hike is suited for anyone with the ability to hike for a full day who has even a bit of light-hiking experience. As long as you bring sturdy shoes and your swimming costume – you’ll be set!
(We also recommend bringing hiking sandals or water shoes if you don’t want your shoes to get wet at certain points)
Trip Cost
Early-bird discounted tickets will be available on a first-come first-serve basis for a limited time at 169.50 NIS.
Standard-priced tickets will be sold at 189.50 NIS once the early-bird discount runs out.
(Full transport to and from Tel Aviv is provided by Finjan with pickup points along the way on Route 2 heading north)

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS
* This trip requires sturdy shoes (no flip flops) suited for rocky terrain. Participants will remain off the trail should their footwear not be suited for the terrain. Swimming gear is recommended for the springs.
* Hikers should bring hiking sandals or water shoes if they don’t want their shoes to get wet at certain points
* 4.5 Litres of water per person + hat + sunscreen
* Each participant is responsible for his or her own personal security and health.
* Swimming locations are without a lifeguard and are at the discretion of each individual participant. Finjan is not responsible for decisions made by participants regarding swimming areas without lifeguards.
REFUND, CANCELATION & TRIP-ADJUSTMENT POLICY
*** Included in the price of the ticket is a non-refundable deposit fee. This fee is 50 NIS
*** Full refund including deposit fee will be issued upon request no later than 7 days prior to the scheduled start time.
*** Partial refunds will be issued no later than 3 days prior to the trip (50 NIS fee not refunded)
*** No refunds will be issued within 72 hours of the scheduled trip
*** Should a participant cancel his or her ticket, he or she can inquire about moving the ticket to another Finjan event at the same cost.
*** Should a participant request a refund within 72 hours of the scheduled departure time, a full refund can be specially issued if that ticket will be purchased by another participant or someone on the Finjan waiting list.
*** Full refund will be issued should the trip be cancelled or postponed for any reason at the discretion of the trek leader(s).
*** The trek leader(s) has the right to change the location of the trip prior to or throughout the trip based on weather conditions without issuing a refund to participants.
*** The trek leader(s) have full discretion in not allowing a participant to fulfil the trek based on certain health considerations and or lack of proper footwear/water.
*** Price includes two fully licensed guides and outdoor specialists, transportation to and from Tel Aviv and lots of coffee! Price does NOT include food and other beverages ***
Departure time is at 06:00 sharp from Tel Aviv Savidor Merkaz (Central Train Station/Arlozorov). Return to the same point by 21:00. The bus will leave promptly and on time! Those who arrive early will have the chance to enjoy some cookies and coffee prior to departure.
