Wed 25 April 2018 | 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Kanta Bar - Ibn Gvirol 71, Tel Aviv, 30 NIS

On Wednesday the 25th, “Kanta bar” will feature a one-of-a-kind evening as part of the “Have You Seen The Horizon Lately?” and Think & Drink Different series of events. Hosting two of the main characters of the acclaimed series “The Vietnam War” for the first time in Israel and Reverend Gary Mason, one of the architects of the “Good Friday” peace agreement in Northern Ireland, the evening will be moderated by Dr. Arad Nir, head of the foreign news desk and international commentator for Channel 2 News.

The event will be held in English.

Are there any similarities between the jungles of Vietnam, the streets of Belfast and the fence of Gaza?

You are invited to a unique event with major players from some of the major conflicts that have been resolved in recent decades: the two main protagonists of the acclaimed series “The Vietnam War” and Reverend Gary Mason, who took part in the process that ended the conflict in Northern Ireland.

The main characters of the “Vietnam War” series, who fought on opposite sides of the barricade, will demonstrate how a conflict that seems unsolvable, can soon disappear and leave two wounded societies wondering, why they fought to begin with.
From Ireland Reverend Gary Mason, comes to tell us how a bloody conflict of hundreds of years was actually solved at the end.

** This event is a fundraising event, all proceeds from ticket sales will be dedicated to the Cystic Fibrosis Association in Israel **

The event will start at 19:00, opening doors at 18:00
