Argentine-Israeli pianist and composer Gabriel Palachi is one of the hottest contemporary names in the Latin jazz scene: Afro-Cuban and world tango jazz. He was also included in the list of breakthrough artists – Emerging Artists – in Billboard magazine.

Palachi’s trio, who immigrated to Israel about two years ago, will play Palachi’s composers in Latin jazz and tango jazz styles, some with a Middle Eastern spice. A virtuoso and fiery performance.

Latin jazz is the nickname for the connection between the music and the different dance rhythms that immigrants from Latin America brought to the United States, and the jazz they encountered in the new homeland.

These connections between Latin music, and especially Afro-Cuban rhythms, and jazz, almost immediately became an integral part of the jazz world. There is hardly a jazz ensemble that does not have melodies in such and other Latin rhythms.
