Caryn led the acquisition of CLEAR in 2010 and has guided the revitalization and re-launch of the company. She will talk about her journey to becoming a successful CEO and share insights related to her professional and personal challenges.
CLEAR is a leading biometric identity platform, strengthening security and redefining the consumer experience at major venues across the US. CLEAR securely automates the identification process at airports enabling its members to verify their identity using their fingerprint or iris. Today, CLEAR is powering a friction-free security experience in nearly 30 US airports and sports venues and has a growing base of nearly one million loyal members nationwide.
Caryn is responsible for setting the overall direction and vision for the company as CLEAR becomes the trusted identity verification platform. Caryn also oversees the customer experience, marketing, business development, and people development.
In 2004, Caryn created the Arience Foundation and The Happy Elephant Foundation which support charter schools, cancer research, child wellness, and the New York City community. Caryn sits on the Board of Directors of Mt. Sinai Children’s Center and the Young Women’s Leadership Network. Caryn is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Ethical Culture Fieldston School in NYC.
Caryn received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Michigan.
