Welcome to the opening of the exhibition “Finnish Design in Israeli Homes” on Friday 19 May at 11.00 at the Architects Gallery in Yafo. The exhibition is part of the celebrations of Finland’s 100 years of independence and will run until Thursday 18 June.
The exhibition explores the relationship between everyday life and design through items generously on loan from homes of Finns and friends of Finland in Israel. Design items are one of the unique ways how Finns abroad express their connection to Finland. The items represent home and carry memories of life events.
Finnish design has become synonymous with functionality and aesthetics, original styling and high-quality manufacturing. A selection of objects such as furniture, lamps, glass, ceramics and textiles are brought together at the exhibition.
