*** Free Entrance in advance registration / Talk will be held in English ***

Disasters and emergencies accompany us in Israel and around the world. Only during 2018, 315 natural disasters were reported all over the world. One of the most important emergency management tools is Crisis Communication. Crisis communication has many challenges that need to be recognized and evaluated.

For example, winning public trust. Without public trust, the authorities will not be able to effectively guide the public during the emergency. The social media that accompanies us for a decade has come out with opportunities but also with challenges. One is dealing with rumors and fake news. In the future, technologies such as AR & AI will introduce enhanced capabilities (some we can’t even imagine today) that will challenge us very much.

In the lecture, we will expose the audience to communication challenges in emergencies, pointing at directions and challenges to come.
