Elazar Johonson Tamano is an artist and cook who takes his inspiration from the ancient, colorful, and rich culture which he part of the Ethiopian culture. You are invited to a ‘one-time event’ – an Ethiopian Pop Up, at אוריאל 23 / Uriel 23 in Florentin.

In Elazar’s artwork, you can see the strong influence of his ancestral Ethiopian culture. He uses a unique techinique of art called “Bona” (coffee in Amharic), which is a large part of Ethiopian culture. His work also holds a strong tie to the Israeli and Western culture. In cooking, as in his art, he takes the amazing Ethiopian flavors and mixes it with Middle Eastern culinary dishes, creating something truly unique.

At this one time event, we will turn the אוריאל 23 / Uriel 23 gallery to an Ethiopian Culture Party with a strong Israeli vibe – amazing smells, colors, and sounds – to Florentin.

What to expect

-Elazar will be cooking his unique dishes- The prices will be from 25-35 NIS, as well as some drinks sold
-Art gallery with Elazar’s artwork
The art work will be for sale.
– Daniel Mangisto will be make sure that we get our bodies moving with modern Ethiopian and African music
