Mars Gallery - Ruhama 16, Tel Aviv, FREE
The artist Zero Cents was born in 1986 in New Jersey, lives and works in Tel Aviv. His works had a strong presence on the streets of Tel Aviv for over a decade, and he has exhibited in museums and galleries in Israel and worldwide. Rampant building walls, pieces of old furniture, worn-out books and documents that once served a bureaucratic mechanism serve as the canvas for most of the body of his work, embracing the private history and the material wretchedness in which each of them is charged.
Currently the Artist has been focusing on multilayered oil paintings rich with paint loaded by a pallet knife. For his upcoming exhibition at the “Mars” Gallery, he has chosen to display “clean” ink drawings portraits that are comprised from elements of landscape to abstract lines, Land surfaces, steep cliffs, trees and stones are archetypes of human beings, expressing personality and mental components by adding metaphors in the form of geological and biological elements.
