Teder and the Polish Institute invite you to a full live show of Polish vanguards EABS – Electro-Acoustic Bea Sessions that has become a young sensation in the international jazz scene.
The band will mainly play materials from the album “Repetitions” created as a tribute to Krzysztof Komeda – the Polish jazz star of the 50’s and 60’s who was killed in 1969. Komeda was Roman Polanski’s favorite composer and composed the music for his films, including his well-known film “Baby’s Baby”. “Rosemary’s Baby”.
The uniqueness of the musical tribute to Comeda does not lie with EABS’s interpretation of his work, but to some extent in its re-creation. The band creatively breaks down basic themes in his works and in the spirit of hip-hop, creating symbols and looping of the played materials. The composition evokes a modern spirit in the classic spirit of comedy, a modern spirit for which jazz is just a bounce to other styles.
